In 2013, Adobe confirmed that approximately 2.9 million of their user accounts had been compromised. Information such as their credit card numbers, billing addresses, and other customer related details as part of their source code for their program being illegally accessed. All of this occurred despite Adobe employing a subscription based DRM model and utilizing PCI DSS approved encryption methods for their customer's credit card information.
