Description:

an act to prevent unlawful combinations of workmen... basically trying to stop unions and things. tbf it was a bit scary, what with trying to fight wars in france the whole time, when the home front was that unreliable. trouble was, all these laws did was force unions underground which was even more sketchy so they repealed them 50 years later. dont forget the govt was also v scared of jacobin movements and french revolutionary ideas.
