Rail manufacturer Alstom announced Tuesday that it has signed a partnership with Canada's export credit agency to finance up to €2.3 billion of its customers' projects aimed at making transportation "more sustainable."

The three-year "strategic partnership" with Export Development Canada (EDC) aims to "promote investment in clean mobility around the world" and will provide "export financing and export credit insurance support for mobility projects led by Alstom's customers up to a maximum of C$3.5 billion, or €2.3 billion," the statement said.
