Description:
The Serviceman’s Readjustment Act, or G.I. Bill, was signed into law by President Franklin Roosevelt. The bill provided a variety of benefits to World War II veterans, including medical care, college tuition, unemployment benefits, and job counseling. Through the bill, veterans also had access to guaranteed loans to buy a home, farm, or business.
