Herbert Hoover (R) vs FDR (D). The popular vote was 16 million to 23 million. It was 59 to 472 in electoral college. FDR won in both. The Senate was ⅔ democrat and the House was ¾ democrat. This is why FDR was able to pass so much legislation so quickly.
