George Digby, also known as the 2nd Earl of Bristol, was an English politician and diplomat He was a prominent figure during the English Civil War and was known for his loyalty to the royalist cause.

Digby was also known for his writings, which included political treatises and a biography of his father, the 1st Earl of Bristol. He was regarded as an intelligent and thoughtful statesman and was respected by his contemporaries for his loyalty and service to the Crown.
