Description:

A labor union.

- Workers wanted a better life (and leverage over industrialists).
- Starts off with all men, but eventually includes women and all races (discrimination would make the union weaker; strength in numbers).
- Had to stay secret until almost everyone was in on it (otherwise they would be fired).
- ocialist ties; some leaders thought capitalism was a failed system; only benefited a few.
