The Bay of Pigs Invasion was a failed attack to overthrow the government of Cuba run by Fidel Castro. It was mainly operated by the CIA, who had trained a special unit in many skills, including martial arts, the days before. After Fidel Castro had come to power in 1953 and established a communist government, the US government had been looking for an opportunity to overthrow him. At first, they tried putting a trade embargo on the country, but when Fidel turned for aid to the Soviet Union, they were given the go ahead to invade. Ultimately, the operation was a giant failure and ended up being defeated in only 3 days with America looking like a giant idiot.
