Truman became suspicious of the communist threat, he felt communism would spread to eastern Europe, many countries were struggling economically so Truman feared that they would view a communist government as appealing.-He believed, if communism spreads throughout Europe then Capitalist Americas status would decline, and USA would lose global status.
-So the USA introduced a policy to help contain communism.
