Description:
Shays and his neighbors in MA were mad about the debt crisis, high taxes, and foreclosures. They rebelled and took over the area for 4 months. The federal gov, under the Articles, couldn't raise an army. The rebellion was put down by a privately funded militia. The rebellion exposed weaknesses of the Articles.
