On Wednesday, April 18, 1906, At 5:12 in the morning, an earthquake struck the Bay area with a magnitude of 7.9 scale. The earthquake devastated the city of San Francisco with a three-day fire that consumed thousands of unreinforced brick buildings and houses that were poorly prepared for the incidents.
