Description:

For 2 years, the Harrison-Halsted Community Group (HHCG) try to stifle the construction of the State University by creating legal appeals. However, in February of 1963,The Illinois Supreme Court fell in favor of the university and in May of 1963, the United States Supreme Court turned down the case. And right after the court decision was made, the demolition of Harrison-Halsted began and by February 1965, the State University was finally built.
