Description:
A day after his Government was overthrown by the South Vietnamese Army, Ngo Dinh Diem and his brother were captured and assassinated by a group of South Vietnamese soldiers. Diem's death would allow the U.S. to become more involved in South Vietnam as his death had lead to political chaos throughout the nation.
