15 oct. 1941 - Deportations of German, Austrian and Czech Jews
Description:
Approximately 1.7 million Jews, the most of them Polish Jews, were killed as a result of Operation Reinhard. Jews expelled from ghettos in occupied Poland made up the vast bulk of the victims in the Operation Reinhard execution facilities at Belzec, Sobibor, and Treblinka. Once the execution centres were running, the German SS and police destroyed the ghettos and transported Jews there by rail.
