1 janv. 1875 - Alexander Graham Bell patents his ‘acoustic telegraph’
Description:
In 1875 Alexander Graham Bell patented his acoustic telegraph which massively helped to reduce the cost of telegraphs and their transmission wires. This patent was the works of him, Charles Bourseul, Thomas Edison and Elisha Gray. It involved allowing single telegraph wires to transmit over multiple channels of frequency, meaning that two or three messages could be sent and received separate from each other in the same telegraph wires. This invention paved the way for the creation of the telephone that transmits huge amounts of data over one line on different frequencies and was the perfect upgrade to the original Morse telegraph.
