Description:

a mutual aid society for those of Puerto Rican descent was founded with the intent to help other Puerto Ricans that had recently moved to the Decoto area. Furthermore, they were known for consistently advocating the motto “avanza con progreso” or which means “advance with progress”. This society would keep the streets vibrant by playing jibaro music and making Puerto Rican food for the community, in addition they would raise funds for scholarships
