1 janv. 1917 - The 1917 Russian Revolution The 1917 Russian Revolution caused the Russian military to leave Iran's north. The dominant foreign power in Iran at that point was Britain. Iranian oil had fueled the British fleet during World War I. Iran acted as a barrier between now-socialist Russia and the West.
