27 janv. 1973 - Paris Peace Accords
Description:
The Paris Peace Accords was the formal agreement between America, North Vietnam, South Vietnam, and the Viet Cong to end the Vietnam War and restore peace. The agreement included a cease-fire in Vietnam, America to withdrawal it's troops, and North Vietnam to release their prisoners of war. Both sides also agreed to remove all troops from Laos and Cambodia, and the 17th parallel would temporarily remain the separation between North and South Vietnam. This was important as it marked the end of America's involvement in the Vietnam War as they lost much of the public support for the war.
