1 févr. 1611 - why 1st parilment was dissovled
Description:
on the 8th of February 1611 James would dissolve parliament and this was because of 4 factors towards the breakdown
money
James was always in debt but with Cecil gone now from parliament not a lot of people welcomed James' request from money and this was a big problem that caused conflict as James needed 680,000 pounds
fractional conflict
the rich family that normally would work well with the monarchies over the years like the Howards family were being judged and attacked as the family was linked to catholic Spain and because a lot of people in parliament were protestant they thought of attacking the family which James did not like as this family were close friends to James and he saw it as also a personal attack towards his power.
