Description:

With the Slave Trade Act abolishing slave trade within the British Empire. This meant that Upper Canada was now free of any slave trade. The Underground Railroad would take slaves from the Colonies and move them to Upper Canada through a complex network of safe houses. Around 30 000-40 000 slaves were moved to Upper Canada during the time of the Underground Railroad
