Description:

Because of poor drinking water and consumption of wild game, Nunavik Inuit have higher rates of Zoonotic Diseases.
Blood tests on adults aged 18 to 74 (n = 917) allowed the seroprevalence of antibodies for eight zoonotic diseases to be confirmed: trichinellosis, toxocariasis, echinococcus, brucellosis, leptospirosis, Q fever, toxoplasmosis, and tularemia.
