13 avr. 1923 - Chinese Immigration Act
Description:
The Canadian government imposed a $50 head tax on Chinese immigrants in 1885, hoping to discourage their immigration. In 1923, the Act is almost completely restricted and soon repealed.
As a result of this, distrust and anger has bred between the Chinese immigrants and Canadians, which may have faded, but not completely.
