3 mars 1941 - Krakow Ghetto is established

Description:

On March 3rd the Krakow Ghetto was announced and established by German authorities. Between 15,000 and 20,000 Jews were forced to live inside of this ghetto. Inside of the area, there were many factories for the residents to labor in. At certain times, Jews were allowed to leave and work in other factories outside of the walls, such as Oskar Schindler's enamel factory. The ghetto was lined with stone walls and barbed wire fences and was eventually sealed on March 20th of the same year.
