Description:

There had been on and off rebellions since the Spanish won the fight for Cuzco, but none had been hugely successful. There had also been multiple Inkas (both by rule of themselves and the Spanish) but, once again, none had successfully driven the Spanish out of power. Finally, in 1572, the last Inka was killed and the Spanish fully controlled Peru.
