- Podatus is the rising two-note neume shape
Little note on top is a Liquescent neume. An Epiphanous neume.
What do they mean? We don’t entirely know. Could be a lightening of the voice
Make chant editions, would indicate on different size of neume.
• Maybe make the top note small? Just to be careful to the og content
- Chironomy is the art of conducting chant
- Punctum has a dot on the end of it (the second note for example)
Would hold a little longer
- Clivis is a descending two note neume
- Torculus is the three note up and down ones
Non-diastematic
• Tells you general contour but not specific pitch
• “un-heighted”
