Description:

The 1936 Olympics were very Important to Adolf Hitler and he needed Germany or Italy to win the races. The race was designed by Hitler for Germany and Italy to have an advantage, where the US and other teams were they couldn't tell when the race started, so Germany and Italy could have a head start. Even with this disadvantage the 9 man Washington team including: Joe Rantz, Don Hume, George Hunt, Jim McMillan, Johnny White, Gordon Adam, Charles Day, Rodger Morris, and Coxswain Bobby Mach won the Gold Medal of the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
