Obama became the 44th president, and was the first African American to be elected as president. Obama's first-term actions addressed the global financial crisis (another crash on Wall Street due to high risk mortgages), a partial extension of the Bush tax cuts, legislation to reform health care, a major financial regulation reform bill, and the ending war in Iraq. Most importantly, he ordered for the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden as well as passing $787 billion America Recovery and Reinvestment Act to accelerate economic growth during the Great Recession. At last, Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” Overall, he’s just an awesome president, who I like very much.
