17 sept. 1955 - Montgomery Bus Boycott

Description:

In 1955, Rosa Parks, an African American, refused to give up her seat for a white man. She refused until she got arrested on sight. This incident began what became known as the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Many African Americans would walk to wherever they needed to go or carpool. The bus companies refused to change their rules and the Supreme Court had to step in again stating it was unconstitutional.
