Australia issued the charges against Amber Heard on or about 8 July 2015. It appears there was some delay in this reaching the media maybe due to protocol that Amber Heard herself and her legal representation would have to be notified in advance and/or the substantial amount of paperwork and bureaucracy involved in charging a foreign national. However, a week later on 14 July 2015 a summons for Amber Heard to attend court was issued and at this time the exact nature of the charges was confirmed and clarified.SOURCE:
