The Siege of Yorktown was a battle that was between the Continental Army combined with the French Army troops against the British army. French troops came by boat and brought supplies in preparation of the battle. Both armies met up at north New York and advanced to Yorktown, Virginia from there. The fighting started to begin on October 7, and both sides continued to fight. However, the British decided to wave the white flag on the 17th of October, which lead to the official surrender on October 19th, resulting in a victory for the Americans and the French.
