within late June of 1642, parliament issued the nineteen proposition which started their demand for a negotiated settlement some of the quote and point talked about in the settlement was:
-all privy councillors were to be approved by parliament
-the five impeached MPs were to be pardoned
-Charles had to accept the terminal act and the militia bill
-parliament would direct a reformation of the church
-the proposition portrayed the king as the force that would prevent anarchy
-it also stated that the parliament proposal would lead to a dark equal chaos of confusion in which the threat of population rebellion was imminent
