Description:
"Allowed the Royal governor to order trials of accused royal officials to take place in Great Britain or elsewhere in the Empire if he decided the defendant could not get a fair trial in Massachusetts." This is an official questioning of the morals and fairness of trial by jury in the colonies. Creates the impression that any British official that harassed colonist could escape justice. Effective May 20, 1774.
