7 mai 1945 - End of WWII in Europe
Description:
At the time of Germany's surrender, almost 6 million Jews had been murdered. Allied troops found dead bodies, bones, rotten corpses, all evidence of Nazi mass killings. Survivors had evidently been starved and over worked to the point of near death. Many of these survivors had nowhere to go and had the daunting task of rebuilding their lives before them. Thousands of survivors were placed in displaced persons camps.
