1 janv. 1919 - In 1919, the Arizona State Nurses Association was organized and founded.

Description:

Description: The first goal of the newly formed organization was to push for the Nurse Practice Act to be passed in legislation. Forty-two graduate nurses from the counties of Maricopa, Pima and Cochise comprised the premier members of the association (Schaeffer,2014).

Reflection: Nationally, the Women's Suffrage movement was on the push. In Arizona, women's votes where first counted in November 1916 (Reagan,2016). The state was ahead of the curve for accepting the value and equality of women and I feel this greatly impacted the ambitions of the premiere members of the ASNA.
