this was a parliament reform to complain directorial to Charles and his position of power that it need to be handed over as Charles was seen to be abusing his given power with the illegal acts of taxing of ship money and the forceful acts of controlling religion toward the nation using the dispute of the bishop war of 1639 against Scotland with Charles not keeping the jackobethain balance within his role this caused the grand remonstrance
which would later be the cause of the start of the civil war in Nottingham upon the direct attacks to chares
