26 févr. 1869 - 15th Amendment Ratified

Description:

The 15th Amendment states that government cannot discriminate based on "skin, color, race or previous condition of servitude." This also gave the newly freed slaves the right to vote. The North is happy with this outcome and the South is again upset about the turnout of what happened during the War. This is a significant step to Reconstruction.
