Description:
Khrushchev ordered the revolt to be brutally stopped by the Soviet forces. The fate of the Hungarian leader was sealed after the U.S. refused to assist in the revolt. The U.S. did not want to send any troops, because they feared that this will ignite a war with the Soviets.
