Description:

A plane crash that killed, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and "The Big Bopper" J. P. Richardson in Iowa. The three were on tour at the time and were very famous and popular artist. The song, "American Pie" by Don McLean was written in homage to the three.
Buddy Holly was the first geeky guy of rock and roll. Buddy wasn't getting his royalties and needed money, so he went on tour.
Ritchie Valens was the first Mexican American Rock and Roll star, and the father of Chicano Rock. Accomplished singer and guitarist whose career unfortunately only lasted 8 months and had 3 hits.
The Big Bopper started out as a DJ and just started to be a musician when he was killed in the plane crash. He coined the term “music video” in a 1959 newspaper article.
