The Father of the Delta Blues, Charley Patton was a Mississippi song writer active in the 1920s and early 30s. Patton was known for his showmanship and creativity and would play the guitar with his teeth behind his back. Patton famously wrote the song "High Water Everywhere" about the Great Flood. This song helped spread blues music across the country, and to big cities like Chicago.
