20 mars 1948 - End of Allied Control Council
Description:
Originally, the Allied Control Council was the governing body of the Allied Occupation Zones in Germany after the end of World War II. This consisted of a representant for France, Britain, the Soviet Union and the US. The Soviet representative walked out of a meeting one day and never came back, essentially shutting down the whole operation as the four countries needed to be present.
