OJ is contacted in Chicago by Detective Tom Lange and is informed of Nicole's murder.It's noted that when hearing of his wife's death, OJ exhibited an unusual demeanor and reacted with what could only be termed 'mild shock.' Detective Lange investigated well over 100 murders and more times than not, family members react with much more emotion than Simpson displayed.
Along with the emotional outpouring, family
members usually asked the standard questions, who, what, when, where and why but Simpson asked none of these questions and told officers he would return home.
