Description:

After years of war between the Pictish Tribal state and the gradually Saxonising Learite Kingdom, Wizard King Drust is brought to his knees after the Battle of Berwick. Drust, having fought long and hard managed to strike down King Lear with a potent mixture of spellcraft and expert weapon wielding, marching into battle with a Goblin-forged blade and a set of Goblin-forged mail armour.

Unable to defeat Drust, Lear is almost struck down when Gloucester, Lear's previous ward and now trusted confidante manages to defeat the well guarded Pictish ruler with what is regarded by contempories as one of the first recorded uses of the Cruciatus Curse. As Drust's Goblin-forged armour was repelling all of Lear's other Wixen soldier's spells, Gloucester simply 'summoned up pain' for the Pict, knocking him to his knees.

Following the battle, with Drust as a hostage the Picts and the Goblins settled for peace. Drust was married to Gloucester's sister, forming the basis for the Pureblood 'Line of Drust'. Many Scottish Pureblood families trace their history back to these two Wizards. Pictland remained under Learite rule, and would never rise again until the end of Lear's reign.
