Confederate General Edmund Kirby Smith, the commander of Confederate forces who fought against the will to free slavery, signed the surrender terms presented by the Union. The surrender marked as the end of Civil War, freeing slavery, claiming slavery as illegal; it also leads to Radical Reconstruction, which 13th, 14th, 15th Amendments are published, also wrote state’s constitution that guarantee freedom right to vote.
