1 janv. 1863 - Emancipation Proclamation
Description:
During the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln urged for abolition of slavery in the south. Emancipation of Proclamation declared all slaves from the rebellious states must free their slaves: “shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free.” Although Emancipation of Proclamation didn’t necessarily free the slaves, it represented a starting point where the American Civil War commences to fight for the nation’s human right.
