Indian Removal Act is the first major legislature movement from US policy, granting Indian tribes unsettled western prairie land in exchange for their valuable lands within states borders. Many tribes refused to leave their cultivated farms, still US forced them to move, leading to one of the major tragedy - Trail of Tears.
