Anne Hutchinson was a women with different beliefs from other puritans. She started spreading what she thought was the right way to be a puritan and others didn't agree with that. So a trial was held for Anne Hutchinson and she was banished from Massachusetts. This was a significant event because it shows how puritains were treating others that didn't follow their religion which was kind of hypocritical coming from them because they had left England to escape that treatment.
