Description:

On february 6 1778, Benjamin Franklin went to France to sign the Treaty of Amity and Commerce and the Treaty of Alliance. They recognized the United States as a Independent nation and started to do trades between France and America. The United States and France helped each other, against the Great Britain in the Revolutionary War. Also the Treaty made France and US to worked together and made a peaceful agreement. Since the France and US are allies they painted their half of the shields with the American flag.
