Mobile Phone
Description:
After the development of wireless communication and radio wave frequencies, it was eventually during the 1970s that telephones truly became mobile.
The first phone call made from a mobile phone was on 3rd April 1973, by American inventor Martin Cooper. Cooper developed a hand-held phone that could send a signal to a nearby tower called a "cell tower" which was attached to the main telephone network .
Over the following decade, the cellular telephone would be improved upon by various different people until the first commercial cell phone network was created by a Japanese company in 1979.
