Description:

- After the Tsar left for the warfront, the Tsarina relied heavily on Rusputin and began dismissing ministers and replacing them with Rusputin’s friends, many of whom were politically inept
- Many feared Rusputin was interfering with the war effort, when in actual fact he was ensuring proper food, medicine and equipment made its way to the front
- The right wing saw him as a liability to Tsarism and had him executed
