Description:

Galileo was likely not the first to look at the moon through a telescope, but with his homemade telescope, he could view the moon's surface in much more detail. These observations challenged the church's doctrine of God's perfect creation. Furthermore, if the moon has earth-like features, does that mean the earth is not unique in the universe?
